Fellows store design 2010

Description : International Visual were appointed to design and project-manage the shop fit and visual enhancement of Fellows, a gift boutique in Oxford.

As the building is one of the oldest in the city, the scheme design needed to be sympathetic to it. The chosen design was inspired by the building itself and by the sports played at the University.

The existing 1980s shop fit was removed and many of the existing features were kept and renovated. The store has a central minstrels gallery which allows great views of both floors. We took advantage of this feature by adding in a dramatic, vintage-looking chandelier with lampshades made out of old Union Jack flags and embellished with vintage memorabilia.

A high-level shelf was fitted and dressed with a vintage tennis theme. To add drama and take advantage of the five meter high perimeter wall, we added a picture gallery of Union Jack flags.
