V & A Spring Windows 2009
Description : Spring Windows and Interiors 2009IV were appointed to design a window and interior scheme that would tie in with the Stephen Jones Anthology of Hats exhibition in the Porter Gallery.
The initail scheme had to tie in with the exhibition but then needed to be easily altered to work for high summer.
We designed a simple set of boxes that can be used in different combinations. Adding other elements will give it a new lease of life.
The same boxes in smaller dimensions have been used within the store in showcases and on fixtures.
We created striped decals taking inspiration from the Cecil Beaton wallpaper used in the exhibition. The decals have been applied to the top of the windows to hide the lighting raft and on the high level acrylic display boxes around the perimeter of the store.
